1. Who is RGF Staffing(USG People)?

RGF Staffing is one of the world’s largest HR service providers, connecting around 265,000 people daily with companies and institutions globally. The organization has approximately 17,000 employees and generated $11.3 billion in revenue in 2021.

2. The challenge 

USG People’s intranet was no longer meeting the needs of its end users. Additionally, they had several underutilized applications within the Microsoft 365 suite, such as Teams, that they wanted to fully leverage.

3. The Solution

Conducting an in-depth user and usage study? Say no more. For this project, I immediately began investigating who the users were and what their needs entailed.

4. Services

Drawing from past experiences, I decided to implement design thinking as the foundation for this project. This approach involved conducting interviews, creating personas, gathering requirements and wish lists, and ultimately leading design workshops.

I wasn't working alone on this project. I was part of a small team responsible for the Microsoft 365 adoption initiative. Throughout the project, our team collaborated closely with Microsoft, KPN ICT Consulting, and Centric.

Outcome & Learnings

The workshop-made personas were merged into four definitive personas and a final document of scaled requirements. The final personas and requirements were being used as input and guidelines by KPN consulting for the following design process in the Microsoft 365 adoption.

During this UX-Research, I learned to function and organize a project within a large organization. Furthermore, I learned to work with different stakeholders in one project and to design and use the most fitting method for gathering the user's needs.
